Windmill Microlending is excited to announce the launch of our new Mentorship Program. This program was designed and created based on feedback received from both alumni and current clients.
This program will match up Windmill alumni and volunteers--our mentors—with current Windmill Microlending clients, our mentees. The purpose of the Mentorship Program is to assist the mentee in navigating the Canadian labor market as well as providing them with the necessary tools to help them find gainful employment.
The goal of this program is to provide participating Windmill clients with help, advice, and knowledge from someone who has completed the process and who is now working full time in their desired field. Please note that since Windmill Microlending is a nation wide charity the mentor and mentee may be in different regions.
The mentorship relationship will last a total of six months. During these six months, mentors and mentees are expected to meet at least four times in person, over skype, and/or over the phone. The pair will have six months to complete the tasks. We suggest that you meet at least once a month to allow for the relationship to grow. This would allow you to make the most of the mentorship program.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions regarding the program or any other alumni-related activities, please do not hesitate to contact our Alumni Relations Specialist at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (416) 360-4445 Ext.413
